POTHOS

Born from the 2020 period of quarantine and a remote society, Pothos recognized the importance of making every space, no matter the setting, welcoming and comforting. To many, isolation from the outside meant living life alone with unsafe access to companionship. The company realized that the solution to this loneliness could come in the form of something so simple yet so powerful—a green friend.

No person's lifestyle is the same. At the same time, no plant is the same. Pothos knew that well, and therefore made it a promise to complement every individual with the perfect plant. After interested customers helped paint a picture of their lifestyle through a digital survey, Pothos produced personalized booklets that paired flora to the customer's specific demographic and location. This ensured that each customer was delivered a green friend that best fit within their home and ability of care.

Brand Campaign Print Collateral

The printing of each personalized deliverable was enabled by variable data printing (VDP) to allow for the interchangeable printed elements of each consumer's specific demographic information and paired plant. Digital printing then fulfilled the variable data print of each collateral, as the process allowed for the rapid on-demand production of the mass customized pieces.

From its initial brand guidelines to its end collateral, the brand story reveals Pothos' maturity as a company, as well as its growth in marketing and customer engagement. The company's strive to create a lasting impression is embodied in each plant in every home, where each flourishing root and leaf represents Pothos’ endeavor for a greener society.
